The Night Before Take-Off

Well, at this point it is the night before take-off, specifically it is 5.5 hours before I have to wake up to drive to O'Hare. This morning there was not a thing in my suitcase. Needless to say, packing was a beast today. I would really like to close and weigh my suitcase, but I can't because Leo is sleeping peacefully on it (I think he wants to come with).
I've been wishing to go to Japan for at least six years now (I'm trying to think back, when did the Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift come out?). I've always wondered what it would feel like, the day before I finally departed to my mystical dream-country. Well, now I can say. What I did today: felt nervous, drank a latte, packed a little, took some vitamins, felt nervous still, ate a  Gold Coast turkey sub (I will miss those, heck, I miss those when I'm in DePere!), bought some used magazines, felt nostalgic listening to the radio regardless of the song I was listening to, missed people I saw two days ago, bought more stuff, watched some My Little Pony and Good Eats, ate the best meal ever (Turkey-did I mention, Japan doesn't have much turkey? Stuffing and cheesy potatoes....what? A girl has got to bulk up before going to these foreigne countries with appropriately sized portions!). Nana and Nanu came over to say good-bye (I'm going to miss them so much!),  I watched my mom get neurotic (for the most part she only went downhill as the night bore on) and then I got nervous about her getting nervous so by 1am I finished packing.
That's where I'm at! My flight leaves at noon from O'Hare and arrives 13 hours later. In Japan, it will be 4pm.
